Sojos is a dog (and cat!) food and treat company located in Minnesota that offers a superb line of top quality dehydrated raw diets and all natural treats. Their foods have simple, limited and human grade ingredients that are easy to prepare and oh-so-healthy for your pet.
They have several varieties of treats in various sizes, flavors and textures, and three different food forms to choose from: Sojos Complete (just add water), Sojos Grain Free (add meat) and Sojos Original (add meat and veggies).
I'd heard of Sojos before, but haven't experienced any of their products until now. I was thrilled to get this review offer, as I'd always been curious about them when I saw other bloggers talk about them. I can see what the hype is about! Not only is their customer service great, all the treats we were sent were a hit and I feel very comfortable giving them to my dogs due to the high quality. Hell, one kind smells so good I'm tempted to try it myself!
These single ingredient, freeze dried raw treat was by far the favorite with my crew. Their tiny size and delicious flavor (according to the dogs; this was not the one I'm tempted to try ;)) make them the perfect training treat, and my dogs treated them as a high value reward. Nola allowed me to dremel her nails while snacking on them, and Olivia tolerated nearly an hour of hand striping her coat for a few bites of these.
They come in Turkey, Lamb, and Beef flavors, and about $10 for a 4oz bag, they're significantly less expensive than a lot of other freeze dried treats, as they typically run the same price (or more) for 2-2.5oz.
These biscuit type treats are wheat and corn free (and there is a grain free variety as well), and consist of: rye flour, oat bran, peanuts, peanut butter, honey, canola oil and eggs. They're an inch/inch and a bit long, and are fairly easy to break into smaller pieces. They come in 5 different flavors, and there's a good amount in the box, too. While the dogs all liked these well enough, they weren't the favorite.
Here are the ones I'm tempted to sample! These adorably ding dog biscuits are the perfect size for my dogs. They smell heavenly, and there's a huge amount in the too cute box. They contain oat flour, rolled oats, apples, cinnamon, canola oil, vanilla, eggs and honey. Their teeny size and delicious aroma make them ideal to just shove in your pocket to keep treats within reach. I like to keep treats in my pockets at all times (my dogs behave because they're rewarded when they're being good, not just during training sessions!), and these leave no nasty residue or smell on my hands or pockets. They're the perfect size for a nighttime crate treat, too!
|You have no idea how much control I exercise by not giving "omg you're so damn cute" treats. If I didn't, she'd be 30lbs instead of 10.|
