Review Day and GIVEAWAY

Hey, y'all! BOL, I guess a lot of you are used to way colder weather than we are. A lot of you said the 69 degrees we are was hot to you or was your summer. Brr, is all I have to say on that. I'm just 11lbs, with a thin coat and no body fat. It gets to 68 and I'm chilly!

I've got a few reviews lined up for you today, and also a pawsome GIVEAWAY!
First up is an awesome burrow bag and a cute little jacket from Custom Critter Couture. CCC is run by Mary, who is such a sweetheart and is so great to deal with! She makes custom, warm fleece coats that don't have buckles/velcro/buttons (keeps the bulk down!) and also cozy sleeping tubes and sleep sack.
Being a Dachshund, it's in my blood to burrow and dig. Every night before laying down, I dig and pull at blankets to make myself a nice nest, then I burrow under the blanket to sleep. While it's cozy for me, it messes up Mom's, my OUR bed's blankets. I also may or may not be a blanket hog at night. A sleep sack is the perfect solution! And if you have a furry pup/heavy shedder, it keeps the hair at contained.

The jacket is so soft and warm, and very easy to move in. Since there's no buckles or things like that there's nothing to get caught up on and also no excess bulk.

Great service
Really customizable
Durable (sleep sack held up to Doxie claws and teeth)

Bags/tubes are a wee bit pricey

     4.5/5 stars!

Up next we have everyone's best friend,! I've got two things from them to review, since I missed last month's deadline. The first thing is Merrick Natural Beef Jerky.

While I loved it, Mom was NOT a fan! DM: I have never in my life smelt treats that stink quite like these. The smell is so nauseating (to me. I also have a really sensitive nose) it made my eyes water, and the scent clung to my skin even after washing my hands several times. The ingredients are great, and the dogs love em, but if you have a sensitive nose I'd avoid these like the plague.

The other thing is something we both liked much better, and that is Wellness WellBites Lamb and Salmon treats. These treats are tasty and soft, have good ingredients and are a decent price for the amount and quality.  The consistency is almost sponge-like, so they're very easy to tear up for training. The have just enough smell to entice us pups, but not enough to turn off the peeps. The bag is resealable, and since the ingredients are minimal they're great for allergy dogs like yours truly. I'd highly recommend these!

Up next we have a stunning leather collar from Made2Measure Leatherworks (also on Facebook here). Made2Measure specializes in beautiful leather dog collars, harnesses and leashes as well as cat collars and horse tack (I'm unsure of the exact terms for stuff like that. We aren't horse people!). Here's a bit about them:

I am Hannah the creator of Made2Measure-Leatherworks.

I achieved my City & Guilds, level 2 Cordwainers Diploma at  Capel Manor College in 2010. Here I learned how to make leather saddles, Bridles and Harness by hand, which is a dying art due to mass production in modern industry.
I have taken these newly  acquired skills with me and combined them with my creative side and love of design, to make some unique collars and bridles. I enjoy using all kinds of vivid colours to make something a 'bit different' and special, but its not all bling, I also make a variety of more traditional items.
The Made2Measure element came in to play through my own frustration as a horse and dog owner.
"Why are cheek pieces always too long!" , "Why does my fully grown dog need 15 holes on her collar!"

When I found out I was not the only one with these problems I incorporated this into my work and indeed it is such an essential part of my working ethos it became the brand name.
The interest for my products has been overwhelming and this year I am so pleased and excited to be launching my own website! So have a browse around the site at my products. Take a peek at the beautiful dogs and horses I have already kitted out, this shows you the products at their best.
All products you see are hand made by myself, using english bridle butt leather, and silky nappa goat skins or soft buffalo hide for the padding.

They have tons of designs, so I had a hard time picking what I wanted. I finally decided on a black leather collar with silver hardware and turquoise plaiting. It's 1" wide tapered to 3/4" at the ends, which is my favorite width.
The collar is so unique looking, so well made and I'm in love. Y'all know what a collar whore, snob  holic I am, and coming from me that's saying a lot.

The buckle takes a little getting used to since it's different from most American styles.

Blue is SO my color.

Lots of choices
Well made
Good service
Unique looking
Good prices (according to Google. The prices are in euro so I'm converting)

Shipping took forever

     5/5 stars!

And last but not least, the one you've all been waiting for! A review and GIVEAWAY for Zuke's of their Lil' Links treats. Zuke's is my all time favorite treat company, so I'm stoked to do this review. Let's get to it, shall we?

Lil Links are Tootsie Roll sized dog treats that come in 3 yummy flavors: Chicken and Apple, Pork and Apple, and Rabbit and Apple. The Rabbit flavor was my favorite (it's also my favorite Mini Naturals flavor) by far. Each treat has 15-17 calories depending on the flavor, but they're fairly easy to break apart so you don't have to feed the whole thing.

As with every Zuke's product, the ingredients are stellar. Check em out:
Pork (or chicken or rabbit depending on the type), apples, carrots, potatoes, maple syrup, vegetable glycerin, tapioca, natural flavor, salt, phosphoric acid, sorbic acid, rosemary, turmeric, sage, citric acid, mixed tocopherols

Good prices
Awesome company
Great ingredients
Easy to break apart
Not too smelly
Good amount per bag
Resealable bag

I give Lil Links my highest rating of 5/5 stars.

This giveaway is open until Wednesday, so you have a bit of time to get your reply in. On Wednesday I will draw one person's name and they will win one bag of each flavor. Sorry, US residents only! Good luck, everyone!

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola
