We got up late, at Easter candy, then packed up and went to the beach (which was dirtied and crowded from the sickening amounts of people who aren't from here. The beach is always dirtier during tourist season.), then came home and had ham from the pig we raised last summer. Then we watched the finale of The Bible on the history challenge (a very interesting show that made Mom really think about religion) and went to bed. Good times. :)
Some beach shoots (excuse how terribly bloated I look; it's a by-product of the hard boiled eggs):

The we walked down to the beach
Keep an eye out for a review of my BrilliantK9 harness
Yup, in the water
Little paw prints
All that results in one tired Doxie.
Have y'all heard about Sarge's Extreme Exotics event? Just click the name to find out more. I'm posting about our little goat herd! Here goes:
Daisy is our 2 year old LaMancha doe (female goat), who gave birth to twins a little over a week ago. Daisy's sweet, curious and very quiet, but can be a bit bitchy to other goats. She's the "herd queen", and doesn't hesitate to throw her weight around.
Violet is our 6 week old LaMancha x Boer doeling (baby girl goat). She's been bottle fed by the peeps since she and her twin sister Vinca (below) were 5 days old. Violet's a sweet girl, but can be loud and a bit bossy. :p
Vinca is Violet's twin sister. Vinca is our sweetest goat, and loves people. She's happiest when she's being held by someone. She's in for a shock when she's too big to hold, which won't be long now as both her and Violet are about 35-40lbs each. She's half of the "V twins" duo.
Honey is Daisy's absolutely gorgeous little doeling, and she and her twin brother Hawthorne (below) are were a week old on Thursday. She's sweet and a bit shy. She's part one of the "H twins".
Hawthorne, Honey's twin and Daisy's buckling (baby boy goat). He's a handsome boy, for sure! He and his sister will be staying here (Honey permanently). Hawthorne will be bred to the "V twins" once they are old enough, then will be sold.
(DM: in addition to having to pick a boy's name that fit with our plant/flower theme, Gale Hawthorne was my favorite "Hunger Games" character. I really feel like he got gypped in the story, which is why the ending of the series pissed me off. ;))
Kisses and Tail Wags,
