Dachshund Nola Reviews: Pet Elegance
Hi, everyone! Today I'm doing a review for the pawsome Etsy shop Pet Elegance, specifically this tag for my minion/sister Boston.
From the shop:
From the shop:
We make fun and unique pet id tags for dogs and cats. All of our items are made in Seattle, WA. We have been in business for 11 years and are excited to be part of Etsy.com! Thank you for browsing our store!
Our pet id tags are made with our exclusive double sided bezels that are filled with a pattern and then resin. From rhinestones to polka dots, we have over 100 designs of pet id tags to choose from.

Boston and I really like this tag! It's super cute and the perfect size. The shop has TONS of different options for any pup or kitteh, from punk to preppy to hippie to military and everything in between, all for a good price. Boston's tag is perfect for her, expressing her bubbly and friendly personality but not being huge around her neck.
Pros:
Cute!
Tons of designs and colors
Sizes for both big and small pups/kittehs
The color's stayed vivid
Unique
Fast shipping
Good prices
Cons:
It's showing a few scuff marks, but it's worn 24/7 along with B's rabies and HomeAgain tags.
Overall, this tag is adorable and we give them 2 paws up and 3 and a half stars. Head over there and check it out, and tell em Nola sent you!
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

4 Doxies: Personality and Accents
Hi, everyone! Today I'm gonna tell y'all some things about ME and my minions that you probably don't know (and if you do, you're a stalker...just kidding). First off, a short description of our personalities, so you can get to know us a bit better.
Nola: I'm the fun and playful one! I like to learn and to train, but I get bored with things quickly. I'm definitely the smartest of the bunch!
I'm picky about the people I like- if I don't like you, I hate you and if I like you, I'm a friend for life. I'm the camera ham (obviously). I'm glued to Mom's side 24/7.
Dachshund Mommy: Nola is one of the most dramatic dogs I have ever met. She refuses to admit to this, but it's true.
People say I'm the brat and the bully, stealing food and toys (that I don't even want) from the others and getting jealous when the spotlight's on someone else, but really I just know my place as head bitch and hate when that status is messed with. The seven words that best describe me are:
funny
smart
sensitive
vindictive
loving
feisty
dramatic
Augustine: He's the protector (read: my bodyguard) and the lover of the bunch. He's dense and clumsy, but has an incredible sense of smell and is a good hunter. He loves lizards.
He's the most tolerant, but is also the least friendly with strangers. He's a complete and utter chow hound. Doesn't matter what kind of food it is, he'll eat it (unless it's citrus).
He hates to see us girls fight (mainly, it's Boston and I having a go at each other) and will push us apart till we stop fighting.
He has the memory of a goldfish! The seven words that best describe him are:
stupid
loving
hungry
scatterbrained
protective
happy
tolerant
Boston: She's the worrier of the group, and gets freaked out easily. She's the social butterfly, both with people and other dogs. She can be very demanding when she wants attention.
She's a very "soft" dog, and is highly sensitive to tone and stance.
She's not food motivated, at all. She doesn't care for training, and would rather be in your lap.
She's tennis ball crazed, which has earned her the affectionate nickname of "Ball Whore".
She has a hard time keeping weight on her. That's where her other nickname, Skinny Bitch" comes from.
The seven words that best describe her are:
clingy
worried
skinny
friendly
temperamental
kissy
Phoenix: Ah, Phee. She's very sweet, but is even dumber than Auggie. She's the gullible little sister, and a complete tag along.
She's food CRAZED!! Mealtime is the highlight of her day.
She adores Auggie, despite his complete indifference to her. She bit him on the boy bits once, I can't blame him for not wanting to be near her.
The seven words that best describe her are:
dim
cuddly
hungry
clingy
gullible
little
sister
Now, this is a bit weird, but it's part of who were are so you'll just have to deal with it ;). We have accents. When the peeps make us "say" something, it's in a certain voice depending one who's "talking". They are as follows:
Nola: The Glee actress Lea Michelle. This is spot on.
Auggie: Auggie's voice is that of a very posh British man, with a perverted drawl for good measure.
Boston: Boston is Mrs Pots, from Beauty and the Beast.
Phoenix: Phee has the squeaky, slightly irritating voice of Minnie Mouse.
Pretty weird huh? I know, it's great!
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

Dachshund Nola Reviews: Davir Dog Design
Hi, everyone! Today I'm doing a review for the Etsy shop Davir Dog Design, specifically a car seatbelt strap . So let's get to it!
From the shop:
The "davir dog design" was created because I was bored with customary and unimaginative dog accessories available in shops.
All items are designed and handmade by me. Please check back often because I upload novelties continuously.
My dog accessories are earth friendly, sturdy, durable and of course, dog tested. All of them washable by hand or in the washing machine on the cold gentle cycle.
Please let me know if you have any questions! I am happy to make custom sizes.
You can also find davir dog design and more informations here:
www.davirdogdesign.blogspot.com
This safety belt is 3/4 inch (2 cm) wide and adjustable: the length could be adjust from 10-14 inch (25 cm–35 cm) and it's very simple to use.
It is attached to the safety belt with a very strong heavy duty oval hook with screw lock. The safety belt allows the dog moving as much as needed and fastens him/her safely at the same time.
It's easy to clean: washable, in the washing machine on the cold gentle cycle.
It's available in 1,2 inch (3 cm) width and other lengths, too. Matching accessories (collar, leash, harness) are also available. Please visit other sections in my shop or send me a convo.
IMPORTANT! Please do not use this safety belt with collar! It MUST be used ONLY with harness. Never allowed to tie up a dog in the car with a simple collar, because she/he might got critical injuries! Even the most simple harness is much more acceptable than a collar. But even better if we use a special travelling harness designed for this purpose. Travelling harnesses are also available in my shop. Please check them in the "Travelling accessories" section.

On the specific product: Black and white polka-dotted XS / S dog seat belt for safety travelling by car. This one is a fashionable, black&white polka-dotted version of safety belt.
This safety belt is 3/4 inch (2 cm) wide and adjustable: the length could be adjust from 10-14 inch (25 cm–35 cm) and it's very simple to use.

NEVER EVER EVER have you dog on a collar while strapped into the car!!!!!!!! Always, always, use a harness.
Once Mom figured out just how to use the seatbelt (she's a little...special), we really liked it! It's absolutely adorable (a must when you're as gawjussly fashionable as I am), very sturdy, was the perfect length (that's next to impossible to find with a build like mine) and quickly and easily detaches from the car's seatbelt. I could move around enough to look out the window, sit, stand and lay down, but I wasn't going all over the car and onto the floor or into the driver's lap.
Side note: I have NO idea why the words look funny, kinda smushed. Blogger doesn't like me. Maybe it just looks like this while I'm writing it?
PROS:
Adorable!
Very sturdy
Perfect length
Small enough to just throw in Mom's bag when we leave
Lets me move but keeps me in place enough to stay safe
Decent price
Easy to slip on and off the car's seatbelt
CONS:
Didn't come with directions. Mom had to look at the shop to get it.
The adjustment part is really hard to move
Overall, we give the seatbelt strap 3 out of 4 paws! Hop over to the shop, and tell em
Nola sent ya!
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

Award, Botanical Gardens and One Drunk Pup
Hi, everyone! I have several things to show y'all today, so let's get to it.
First off, my pawsome furiend Garth Riley has bestowed the prestigious Addictive Blogger Award! Thanks so much, Garth!
The rules of this award are:
I blog now for those same reasons, but now I have all of you! I share my crazy thoughts and opinions, training, photography, home feeding, vet care and the general whirlwind of everyday life as a crazy, fun loving Doxie. Blogging is such an outlet for my bouncy self, and a creative outlet for Mom. I love blogging so much, and don't see myself stopping anytime soon. Guess you're stuck with me ;).
I nominate the following blogs for the Addictive Blogger Award:
Second thing, we went to the botanical gardens in Dothan AL this weekend! It was really pretty, and we had fun till Mom got too hot and hungry to stay any longer, BOL! We did some recall work too, and I was perfectly behaved. We went to PetsMart after, for treats. I weigh 8lbs, 9ozs.
And third, I'm saddened to say (not really) that Puddles has rubbed off on me. But sshhh, what happens at Mexico Beach stays at Mexico Beach!
No Doxies were harmed in the taking of these pictures. Never ever ever give your dog alcohol. This is an empty, ocean cleaned bottle. Mom says I have to put this here so somestick up the ass concerned person doesn't call PETA on us.
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola
