Tagged, Tags, Review and My First Giveaway

Hi everyone! I have a lot to post about today, but first off I've been tagged for the first time! Thank you Basset Momma! Okay here's how it works: I awnser 10 questions about me then tag 8 other bloggers. Here we go!

1. Describe yourself in 7 words:
Only 7 to describe the wonder that is me?! Beautiful, smart, stubborn, loving, active, loud, feisty.
Only 7?!
2. What keeps you up at night?
Hmmm, not much! The neighbor's dog and my insomniac mom.

3. Who would you like to be?
There is no one I'd rather be then me!

4. What are you wearing right now?
My Hamish Mcbeth Lucy Pink Leather Collar with my ID, Rabies and FurCode Tag.

5. What scares you?
When my mom leaves! Peeps fighting, the vet and big dogs ever since That Which Shall Not Be Mentioned Again.

6. The best and worst of blogging?
The best is all my friends and my photo shoots! The worst is issues with Blogger, spammers, and all of our friends who've passed to the rainbow bridge.

7. Last website you've visited?
Basset Momma to get these questions.

8. One thing you'd change about yourself?
Not being scared of big dogs. And not humping my brother Auggie (wipe that look off your face, we do live in the south BOL).

9. Slankets or no?

10. Tell us something about the dog or person that tagged you:
Basset Momma is a very good friend of mine, she's hilarious and visits almost every post I've done, and her fur babies Fred and Gloria are just about the cutest Bassets I've ever seen! They're even short like me! Thank you again Basset Momma!
I tag:
What Remains Now
My Pawty Date Glacier
Bicontinental Dachshund
Haopee of My Dogs Love Me
My Brown Newfies
White Dog Army
Dachsies with Moxie
That was fun!

Now I'd like to review the FurCode QR (Quick Response) dog tag.
FurCode tags are made with laser etched aluminum, making them very light weight and waterproof.
On the front of each tag is a unquie QR code that you can scan with a QR app from a smart phone. Don't have a QR reader? Get one! It's free in the app store. Don't have a smart phone? No biggie! Each FurCode tag has a unique URL on the back that, when typed into a search box, brings up your pet's online profile same as the QR will. This is great because you can put as little or as much info about your pet as you want! If your pet takes any medication you can put that on their profile, if your pet has allergies you can add that too!
Think this QR thing is too futuristic for you? Think again. QRs are quickly becoming more and more mainstream. Remember when microchips were few and far between? FurCode is going the way of microchips, and soon it will be the norm for your pet to have a QR tag.
One of the best things about FurCode is you only pay the price of the tag and no annual fees for a lifetime of info storage for your pet! Please note though, FurCode is best worn in addition to a standard ID tag on a microchipped pet.
The best part is FurCode has very generously given me 3 redemption codes to pass out to 3 giveaway winners!
Terms of the giveaway:
1. You must follow me via Google Friends Connect
2. You can enter to win from now until 12am on Monday
3. 3 winners will be picked at random on Monday
4. I will contact the winners via email with how to get their tags so don't comment anonymously!

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

  17. What a great drawing! We would love to enter. A QR code for a dog is such a clever idea. Best part is I checked their website and they make them in a SMALL tag size unlike most other pet locator ID tags I have seen.

  18. We checked out the Hamish McBeth website - the Scot in me couldn't resist and I'm v happy to see it's an Australian company... but no outlets near me, so will have to shop online or when I'm interstate! Liked finding out more about you Miss Nola!

  19. Thanks for telling us about the QR code tag...

And, it's fun to learn more about you. I'm so sorry that some big dogs have scared you!

  20. Wow. You did have a lot to say today. The more we read about you, the more I realise that you and Glacier are definitely meant to be. LOL
Thanks for tagging us. Glacier will reply tomorrow. :)
And, these tags sound like a fantastic idea.

    Sarge, COP
