Who We Are

The Writer
Amanda

I'm a twentysomething entrepreneur from the Emerald Coast of Florida. I've always been a dog lover, and my passion for them really sparked when I got my first dog, Nola. I strive for Nola and I to be good ambassadors for the dachshund breed, and small dogs as a whole!

I love photography, and am a passionate reader. I love yoga, food, healthy living, and travel!

Nola
10/8/10

Nola is a five year old, purebred Miniature Dachshund. She's the most intelligent animal I've ever met, and keeps me on my toes. She has her AKC Canine Good Citizen title, and one leg towards her AKC Rally Novice Obedience title.
She is the dog of my heart, my first dog on my own, and is the best thing that's ever happened to me. I wouldn't be who and where I am now without her.  She's a fantastic breed ambassador, and all around do-everything-ever dog!

Supporting Cast

The Jerk
Pike
2/7/14

Pike is a three year old Miniature Australian Shepherd. He's a tiny, weird little dude! He struggles with anxiety and serious car sickness, but he is such a fun guy when he wants to be. He is incredibly high drive and will do anything for his ball or frisbee. Due to a surgery at 6 months old, he isn't the sport dog I intended him to be, but we still play around in the yard every day.

The CatDog
Salem
4/25/16

Salem is our resident cat, even though she's quite certain she's a dog. She was meant to be a foster, and came to us at two and a half weeks old. She was so thin and sickly, but with bottle feeding and tons of care, she thrived and I couldn't give her up!

The Goof
Lachlan
9/15/16

Oh, Lachlan! Lachlan is our rescued Beagle puppy. She's high energy, goofy, sweet and busy busy busy!
