October Expenses

Hey, everyone!

How in the hell is it November?! Where did this year go? October was insanely busy for us, between work, Siren, and getting sick. Everything's smoothing out now, which is great! Now, if it would just cool off from the mid-upper 80s....

It's time again to recap the dog costs!

October 2015 Dog Expenses

Food: $11.99
Treats: $9.85
Toys: $13.49
Health: $19.99
Grooming: $0
Misc: $2.57
Vet: $475.35

Total: $533.24

Ouch.

That's for three healthy small dogs between 1 and 5 years old, and one very sick large breed 5-8mo puppy.

Food was a small bag of large breed puppy (lower quality so as not to upset Siren/Lucky's stomach too much), toys and treats were for Nola's birthday, health was wound/antiseptic spray for Siren's injuries, misc was a jacket on sale, and vet was obviously all Siren. I'm so, so glad every other month this year has been under $120!

  1. Sometimes the best you can do with vet bills is try to put something aside every month for a rainy day and hope you don't get clobbered.

Glad to see Lucky/Siren is doing so well. I can't wait to watch her blossom under your care. And I'm sure Nola will have lots to teach her as well. :)

  3. Siren is one lucky puppy!! Hopefully he will not have as many bills in the near future. I know with Cocoa some months definitely are expensive.

  4. Yikes. Hopefully expenses level off from this point forward now that Siren is improving.

  6. Wow, okay... that's a lot of money. Hopefully as Siren become better, she'll become a little bit more affordable...

  11. Oh dear :/ Those vet bills sure add up. When Matt wondered into our life I remember there was a couple months of higher vet bills.
