It's time for our August review for Chewy.com. Chewy is an amazing online retailer for dog and cat products that offers a huge variety, fast shipping, and the best customer service I've ever dealt with. I buy all the dogs' food and necessities from there, and highly recommend them!
This month Nola is testing Orijen Singles Freeze Dried Treats in Free Run duck flavor. I'm big fan of Orijen, and their dry food makes up the bulk of Nola's diet. She thrives on it, and the quality is unbeatable. The ingredients are locally sourced, it's high protein and grain free, and the brand has never had a recall. I've tried a wide array of different kibbles for little kielbasa, and Orijen beats them all.
Orijen Singles treats are just that: a single ingredient. This makes them perfect for allergic pups (and cats - they have a kitty version!), and a very healthy snack for all dogs. They come in a 2oz or 3.5oz resealable package in the following flavors:
The treats run between $8.99 and $13.99, and there's a decent amount inside. Unlike a lot of freeze dried treats, these are low odor and low dust. That's a big plus when you have a handful shoved in your pocket during a training session! They're a good size, and I found them fairly easy to break up, especially if you pinch the pieces apart so they don't crumble as much.
Each dog loved them, though Nola liked them the most. I would buy them again, and highly recommend!
