Belly Ache and Goats: Q&A

Hi, all! Dachshund Mommy here. Nola got into and ate our outside cats' wet and dry food (a whole can of wet, plus 1-2 cups dry), and now has a horrid belly ache. (I'm writing on Monday night, so hopefully she's better today/tomorrow!) It's a double edged sword; it's commercial food, which Nola has not been on in over a year. She's used to real meat, fruit and veggies with no preservatives or crappy ingredients. And second, the food has corn and soy, which Nola is allergic to.

My poor Bean is gassy, has loose poop, a gurgly stomach, and a bad belly ache. She can't get comfy and groans. She wants her belly rubbed and is extra clingy. It's so sad! Fingers crossed and POTP she perks up!

"I don't feel good, Momma!"
She's pretty bloated from the crap, too. :( My poor Bug!

A couple of you asked on yesterday's post what we do/are planning to do with the goats, so I'm here to enlighten you. ;) All three of "the girls" are dairy goats. We have them so we can get milk and make cheese, soap, yogurt, ice cream, lotion, shampoo and just to have milk. We'll be selling some and keeping some for ourselves. All of these adventures will be documented on the blog, of course!

Daisy says hi

Tulip's not much taller than a 5 gallon bucket.

Goats: Part 3

Hi, everyone! The peeps got our third and final goat (until they have their babies, that is) yesterday. She's a Nigerian Dwarf mix (with Alpine, I'm thinking), and is super cute and really small. She's also hugely pregnant and due in a week or two, OMD! Her name is Tulip.

It's a full on zoo at my house!

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola
She's so little! Half the size of Daisy and Rose

And no post would be complete without yours truly

Award and That's One HECK of A Down/Stay

Hi, everyone! The Slimmer Puggums have graciously bestowed the REALITY Award upon me. Thank you, Puggums!

The rules:

1) Visit and thank the blogger who nominated you.

2) Acknowledge that blogger on your blog and link back to them.

3) Answer the 5 simple questions. (see below)

4) Nominate up to 20 blogs for the award and notify each of them. (see below)

5) Display the award on your blog somewhere.

The questions (ME in pink, Mom in purple):

1) If you could change one thing, what would it be?
I would change how small dogs are treated, trained and perceived; as accessories. I'm just as much of a dog as the next one, and need as much exercise, training and attention as big dogs.
I would remove the stigma of not going to college makes you stupid. Waste ass loads of money on a career you hate is stupid, in my opinion.

2) If you could repeat an age, what would it be?
I like my current age, 2 years old! I think it's the prefect age.
I like my current age, as well. :D

3) What is one thing that really scares you?
Garbage trucks TERRIFY me! And I hate it when Mom leaves. People fighting scares me too! I get really upset when that happens. I'm also terrified of this big, plastic owl we have out around Halloween. But other than that, not much bothers me. So much for one thing....
Something happening to my family, two and four legged. Being forgotten about. Being unhappy. Spiders. Snakes. Roaches. Elevators. Escalators. Windowless rooms. So much for one thing....;)

4) What is one dream you have not completed, and do you think you'll be able to complete it?
I want to be titled in Agility and possibly Rally-O. Of course I'll complete it, I'm Dachshund Nola! Duh.
I want to have a business as a photographer and be my own boss. I'll either complete this dream or die trying.

5) If you could be someone else for one day, who would it be?
Why would I want to be someone else? I'm a minion ruling, fashion slave, model, blogger, product reviewer, stereo-type breaker, diva-licious Doxie!
I'm not sure....

I nominate:
A Day in The Life of a Goose
Ruby the Airedale
The Three Little Pugs
The Hailey and Zaphod Chronicles
The Bicontinental Dachshund

     Thank you again, Puggums!

Check out this down/stay I did! Right in front of the goats!
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola
