Dachshund Nola Reviews: BestBullySticks.com and GIVEAWAY

Hi, all! Today, instead of bitching and whining about "Them" since I'm sure you're all sick of it, I'm doing a review and a giveaway for BestBullySticks.com.

Here's a bit about the company:

A Richmond, Va business founded in 2007, Best Bully's mission is to provide high quality Bully SticksDog Treats, and Dog Chews at great prices.  All of our products are 100% all natural and all of our Bully Sticks come from free ranging Brazilian cattle, none of which are fed hormones or antibiotics.
Approved by the USDA, we know that your dog will love these 100% digestible treats that are sure to keep them happy for hours at a time.  We encourage you to fill out our contact form to request additional information about upcoming products, check out our Healthy Dog Blog, and to submit pictures of your dog with their Bully Stick to our Photo Gallery.

BestBullySticks.com sells primarily bully sticks, but also many different kinds of chews including lamb, pork, kangaroo, cow, venison, antlers and bison chewies and bones. They also offer high quality treats and lots of fun toys!

I was sent 2 of each of the following:
6" odor free bully sticks
7-10" spiral bully sticks (my favorite!)
6" odor free thick stick bully
And also a bag of Kangaroo Tendons.

Since bully sticks are kinda fattening and full of calories, I only get them when I'm crated. I tend to shove straight bully sticks through the bars of my crate (it's a wire one), but the spiral ones can't get pushed through and Mom doesn't have to come home to a salivating Doxie staring at the bully stick that's just beyond the bars of her crate. Which is why they're by far our favorite!

The only ingredient in these is bull penis (BOL! BOL! BOL! DM: I find it hilarious I give my wiener dog bull wiener. Wiener for my wiener!), from grass fed, free ranging Brazilian cattle.

You can see in the below photos how I feel about them (sorry they're so crappy, it was rainy with horrid light the day we got these)!

Give it to me, now! Pwease?

Kangaroo tendons (we love em!) on the left, bullies on the right

Must. Resist.

"okay!" is the most beautiful word I've ever heard.

Sweet victory!

PROS:
Made from free ranging and grass fed cattle
Good prices (bully sticks can be pricy!)
Long lasting
Good customer service
Lots of products and sizes to choose from

CONS:
Dachshund Mommy: I personally found these not to be odor free. They have a fairly strong smell (but then again, I have a really sensitive nose), and not a pleasant one at that. But since Nola Bean only gets them when she's crated, and therefore I'm not home, it doesn't really bother me.

Overall, I give BestBullySticks 4/5 stars (1 star off for lack of odor free) and 1 1/2 paws up!

GIVEAWAY DETAILS!

If you'd like to enter to win a 25 (yes, 25!) pack of 6" odor free bully sticks, leave a comment telling me how many collars your dog has (I have 14, but at least 3 more on the way!), and leave your email addy in your comment if it's not available on your blog.
To earn an extra entry, go like them on Facebook here.

As far as I'm aware, only US residents are eligible. I sent an email to the PR rep, but since I'm writing this on Monday night, I haven't heard back and I'm not sure. If I hear differently I'll be sure to update this post. Winner will be picked on Friday.
Good luck!

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

  2. NOLA!!!!! YOU'RE EATTING WHAT????? Oh my, Mommy made me close my eyes reading about what they are made of..... She said that even at 9 years young, I shouldn't know about such things. I tried to explain that if you had them and were allowed to eat them, then it would be alright for me. I don't think she was buying that!

They sure do look really yummy. We've seen them in the stores but have never had a bully stick.

I know I have a lot of collars but not too sure how many bcuz some were left in Florida. Butt I will say 8 of them.

Hope things are going well on your end. Well, as good as can be expected.....

    Hugs,
    Lily Belle & Muffin

  3. I'm not a collar person. Corgis have such thick coats, the cuteness of a collar can't really show through all the neck fur. My guys have only one collar each.

  5. We have never eaten bull penis or kangaroo tendons but can't wait to try them, BOL. Seriously though, you can't buy them here but we have heard lots of people talk about them and how much their dogs love them.
We only have one harness each and no collars - yes, very deprived chihuahuas indeed :)

  10. Wow, what an awesome prize to be giving away. My dogs would be in serious heaven with those! Lets see... How many collars do my dogs have? I honestly have never counted (then I might have to admit to having a problem!), but I think it is at least 5 per dog. At least. And I have two that I am planning to order as soon as I get some spare money for it.

I am also a Facebook fan of Best Bully Sticks.

  11. My Dad and brother always look squeamish when they see the dogs munching away on their bully sticks. "Do they REALLY have to eat a bull's... well... you know. Can't they eat something else?"
    bahahha.

My dogs will never forgive me if I don't enter this giveaway. They adore bully sticks!
Let's see... Lassie has at least 4 collars that I can think of, unless you count his puppy collar because I kept that, of course.
Not counting her puppy collar, Petal has at least 4 as well.
Kind of ridiculous considering you can't even see their collars past all their fur, haha.
Ella left behind too many collars to count, BOL!
Speaking of collars, that's a super fancy collar/necklace you're wearing, Nola! Love it.

Excellent review! Thanks for hosting this giveaway!

    xoxo

  14. We haven't tried out Best Bully Sticks (the brand) or bully sticks in general yet. I've heard very good things about them though besides the smell and would love to try them out! Yosuke has two collars at the moment but I've ordered four more (grins) in boy-ish colors for the summer and fall. SUPER excited to get them! We liked their Facebook page too! Thank you for the review! :D

  23. Collars....Collars.....hmmmmm, since I'm so special I have one collar and one harness, both with matching leashes. Every buddy else in my pack has one collar each. Butt...we only wear them when we leave our house. Mom doesn't want us to hang ourselves from the ceiling fan when she isn't home.

  25. Your collar collection, Nola, puts mine to shame! I only have three collars (and four harnesses) that are my very own.

And my email is champersandstail @ gmail dot com!

Thanks for offering the giveaway! Mom doesn't buy us bully sticks often because they only last a few minutes--kind of a spendy treat!
