Roses

Hi, all! The other day, the peeps found over 50 cut roses (and a shit load of jasmine) in the garbage area of an alley way (hello, any fellow dumpster divers!) and brought them home. It makes us very sad to think that someone doesn't want roses, or at least wouldn't give them to a neighbor, friend or take them to the hospital and brighten someone's day. What an empty life. :(
But anyway, their loss is our gain in this case! We have roses in every room of the house, including the bathrooms, foyer and laundry room. In fact, the rose in the photo of yesterday's Black and White Sunday picture is from the dumpster haul. Check out all of the beauty!

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

Sweetie should be a florist, BOL!

This dainty light pink rose was one of Mom's favorite. It smelled exactly like scotch tape for some odd reason.

Always stop and smell the roses!

I got this for you, Momma!

DM: this would be a killer manicure

This rose is twice the size of my head.

It sure is purty....

Here's the color version of yesterday's photo.

Don't you just love my gawjuss new collar?

There were some wicked thorns on these plants, because they're the "old fashioned" type roses.

  8. Wow what a great haul you found there. You're right, what a shame they didn't give them to the local hospital or nursing home.

Who is the scotch tape sniffer over there? My Mommy LOVES the smell of tape. Yes a little loose in the brain I know.....

Thanks for sharing your roses with all of us. At least we will enjoy them too.

    Hugs,
    Lily Belle
