It's a Boy...and a Girl!

Hi, all! Our LaMancha goat, Daisy finally gave birth to twins on the 21st! Boy/girl twins. They're doing great; active, nursing, sweet. For some reason, Daisy and Mom don't like it when I try to go and ehm, play with the babies (Dachshund Mommy: or when you go and try to eat the placenta, Nola!). Not sure why!

The babies are named Honey Suckle (girl) and Hawthorne (boy). Honey is staying here, and her brother might too, for a while at least. They're LaMancha x Nubian.

Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola

  15. Are they just not the cutest things! (Well, next to you Nola.)
I bet that in a matter of weeks, Dachshund Mommy is going to have them sitting, healing, giving high-fives and so much more. That would be stupendous and then you could charge admission so we could all come and see and we'd have the Circus back in town again. We'd love that!

What are you going to name your little farm? We think it needs a name with a pretty sign. I bet your Mom could make a beautiful sign (because we know she is handy and crafty like that.)

    How are your peacocks doing?

    Hugs,

  18. They are so adorable!

And I want to state for the record - good call on your mom not letting you eat the goat placenta. That is so disgusting and at the same time really hilarious that you tried! ;)
