Teeth

Hi everyone! Mom is having all four of her wisdom teeth removed today. How teeth make you wise is beyond me. So we probably won't be around much today, since I'll be busy being  Nurse Nola. BUTT I promise we will be here for Wordless Wednesday and to show you this week's photos for The Challenge (Dachshund Mommy: Yes, I will take the daily pictures, doped up and all! So if they're not my best I have a valid excuse). I remember when I had to my my impacted puppy teeth removed, it wasn't so bad! Mom is super nervous, she hates doctors and dentists. So if you could keep your paws crossed all goes well we'd really appreciate it. So I'll see you all ASAP, don't furget me!
On a different note, how do you all like my new Easter header?

  2. Hi Nola - my mum wanted to pass on some words of wisdom to your mom. When you are taking the pain killers after your procedure.....please please please drink LOTS of water and keep hydrated. Otherwise she could end up being painfully blocked up the other end...... which was almost worse than the teeth procedure. They don't tell you these things when they are dishing out the drugs. We pass on our best wishes for a great recovery. Mum had all four out in hospital (day procedure) and also a secondary tooth operation through the gum. Owch!!!

  3. You tell your Mommy that we are keeping all our paws crossed and that it will be over before she knows what happened. My Mommy HATES the dentist too so she can relate. You take good care of her Nola (which we know you will).

    Your Easter picture is BEAUTIFUL!

  4. Love your new header. We have the drool flowing and the paws crossed for your Momma and her wisdom teeth. She will probably look like a chipmunk for a day or so. Make sure to tell her to use the ice packs regularly (20 minutes on 20 minutes off). Start taking pain meds before the numbing shots wear off. Get lots of rest and have her sleep with her head elevated. :) She will do just fine in your care Nola. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

  6. Plenty of good luck to your mom for getting her wisdom teeth out! When I had mine out, the worst part was having an allergic reaction to the pain meds they gave me. When I went off the pain meds, everything was fine.

  8. The Husband is getting his wisdom teeth out in a few weeks too! It's really not too bad, especially if you have a cute puppy to keep you company while you recover.

  13. Dentists are never fun and human wisdom teeth should really be called "torture to remove teeth." Sending White Dog strength.

  14. OMD! i had double canines too! on BOTH sides! the extra tooth on the one side already came out, but the other side is hanging in there. my vet says as long as i don't have any trouble eating then it should be ok - and of course i NEVER have that problem! the extra tooth is actually starting to loosen A LITTLE, so maybe it'll be out before i turn TWO! =)

hope your mom gets well soon!
