Beach!

Hi all! Here are the pictures from Tuesday's beach adventure! We went to St. George Island, one of the most beautiful "forgotten coast' beaches in Florida that's also dog friendly!
I got to go off leash, I've been working hard on my recall and Mom let me off to run and play as much as I wanted! But as soon as she called me I dashed back and sat in front of her for my neck sratchies!
Kisses and Tail Wags,
Dachshund Nola
Note from Dachshund Nola's mommy: I was very proud of how far Nola has come in her training! She did a great job, I'm so happy with her. Beach= best place to work on off leash training
I met a new friend! And I sat politely and quietly by Mom's side while the peeps talked to his person.

Never a bad time for a photo shoot!

So beautiful

I'm in Doxie heaven!

Jelly fish

Look no leash!

Where are my sunglasses? It's bright!

Off leash at the bay side

There were hundreds of these Jellyfish washed up. So sad

Run!

  1. It looks like you sure had a fun time. You look so cute in your pink outfit. That looks like Mollie Jo's brother Bobo you met. I know it can't really be them because they live in Kentucky, but he is a sharp dressing poodle just like the one you met.

  11. Grrrrreat that you trusted your peep to behave while she was off your walkin string. You have trained her very well.

Did you have peanut butter with the jelly fish?

You certainly look CUTE in your pink hoodie dress.

  14. Hey Nola - that looks like a wonderful beach adventure! What a great place. Mum thinks that washed up jellyfish is a "blue bottle" or "stinger" as we call them here. If she is right they are common in warmer waters and deliver a terrible sting to peeps with those really long tentacles....very painful. Be careful because they can still give you a sting if you put your nose on them when they are freshly washed up!

  20. The beach is the only place I let Gretel off too. Her recall is pretty good but it does allow we to work on it there without as much risk as other places. I figure on the beach there are only two places she can go...and one way is to me. Luckily she hasn't taken off running the other direction yet because I have doubts I could catch this fast little rabbit :)
