Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

Hi Doxies and dogs! I got my Christmas tree today! It smells so good! We also got to walk around a park here in town thats COVERED in Christmas lights. So pretty! Here are some pictures.

I can help with the lights, Sugar! No really, I can!

We're not done with it, it needs more lights. But isn't it an adorable little tree!

This is a Coke bear light up I got to sit with

  1. Hi Nola, Sorry it's been a few posts since I've left you a message. We've just been busy around here as you know. Wanted to send you "happy, getting ready for Christmas" greetings. You sure have been very busy also. How great that you got to tree shop and help pick out the very best one. I can see too that you were also helpful getting the lights for the tree untangled. That looks like some big job! Mommy isn't going to decorate the house like normal this year. My Daddy is retiring at the end of this year which means we will all be heading south right after we ring in the new year. This will be the first time I get to live in Florida for the winter. Muffin always got to go with Mommy and Grandpa. Muffin was born in FL so technically that is 'her' house there. I always stayed home for the winter to keep Daddy company. We always missed Mommy so much when she was there taking care of Grandpa for the winter months and months at a time (since Grandma went to Heaven.) So anyways.... Mommy didn't want to schlep everything up from the basement, decorate, then have to schlep it all back downstairs again. So I think she is only going to hang our stockings and a few other little surprises. That's OK tho, because they spend Christmas Day at Uncle Bob's house and him and Aunt Cindy decorate the place like they were Martha Stewart. I like surprises and I did notice there is a BIG box sitting in Grandpa's den that Mommy keeps telling him to put together. But Grandpa is 87 and he keeps forgetting. Geez Grandpa, get your act together!

Well Nola, gotta run now. Mommy is in the kitchen preparing to make a full turkey dinner today for us seeing as they went to Uncle Bobs house the other day. Mommy is a great cook and who doesn't love the smell of turkey cooking in the oven! So I better get in there just in case anything good falls on the floor. I'm on the clean-up committee today!

    Hugs, Lily Belle

  5. Hiya Nola!! Mom put up our Christmas tree on Thanksgivng day, it's our tradition:) She puts in the movie Elf & then pulls out the decorations & I supervise everything from the couch!! Well, at least once I've stopped following her right under her feet as she pulls everything out. :) I hope you got lots of extra treaties for being such a good helper!!

  6. Nola,

I want me a Coke Bear, too! I bet my dogs would be happy smell the tree as well. But we only have artificial ones here.

Nonetheless, I'm sure my dogs would rather have a big juicy bone.

P.S. You're first in my blog roll. Weee ^_^

  7. Looks like you are trying to eat the lights :) We had a cat that used to eat the lights when they were on the tree. We had to stop putting them on the tree where he could reach them because we were afraid he would eat the glass and/or electrocute himself. Yikes!
